Here is the conference agenda:

We’ve put the agenda below to give you an idea of the structure of the EU and All That! conferences. We try and focus on “doing” rather “talking” so each session gives delegates the opportunity to experiment with the resources and activities and discuss the pros and cons with colleagues. There’s also a healthy dollop of lunch and coffee breaks to allow opportunities for networking….and rest of course!

9.15am -     Arrival, coffee and registration

9:30am -      Welcome

9:40am -      Ice Breaker

9:50am -     The European Union Explained -  introductory information on the European Parliament and the work of. Click here to view the PowerPoint presentation used in this session.

10:20am
-     The EU: What’s That? – This workshop demonstrates the European Parliament: What’s That? CD-Rom and paper based resources.

10:50am -     Break

11:05pm -     The EU: What’s That? in the classroom – building on the previous session, a Citizenship teacher will explore strategies for using the resource with delegates.

12:00pm -     Comenius and e-twinning – an opportunity to explore how partnerships can be built with schools in Europe.

12:30pm –     Lunch

1:15pm –     Parliament’s Education Service – To give delegates a view of what the UK Parliament offers, Parliament’s Education Service (PES) will demonstrate the resources they offer in addition to what schools can do when they visit Parliament.

2:00pm –     Breakout session – Thhis is an opportunity for teachers to explore a variety of materials and resources in small groups.

3:15pm -      Summing Up

3:30pm -     CLOSE
